Removing Lund Sun Visor

I have a 95' F150 and I will be removing the Lund Moon visor. I was wondering if anyone removed theirs and what they used to replace the mounting screws for the visor.

I want to look into this first before starting the removal.

Thanks, Dave

i would just use body filler and smooth it down. unless your planning on repainting the area where the screws are thats the best you can do to prevent rust

I don't know what your mounting points look like, but could you just buy some stainless steel screws/bolts and put those in the holes? That way you'd be able to reinstall the moon visor in the future if you wanted. Jst make sure you get the right size with the same thread specs.

i bought my tacoma that i had prior to my f150 with a lund visor installed. Long story short, I drove thru a wall so i had to get the front end replaced (bumper, valance, hood, and turn signals), only cosmetic stuff, no frame damage. When I put my truck in the shop for that I had them remove the visor and they said it was a good bit of work to repair the area that the visor had been mounted too b/c not only were the holes for the mounting screws ragged at best, but the visor wore the paint off in several places b/c it has no buffer to protect the paint from vibrations in the visor. The truck looked pristine after they got done.

Hey Guys, I actually found a great deal on a moon visor and wanted to mount it to my truck. I was wondering if you needed any special screws from Lund for mounting it, or if I can just buy some mounting screws from my local store?

Thanks
