Are those six individual LEDs that you put in each mudflap, or are they a unit in a "bar"? I'm guessing you ran the wiring down the inside (front side) of each mudflap. Did you coat the connections at each LED with silicone caulk or something like that for protection?

Nice job!

BigRed, do you have the 7 pin connector? All I did was use a tap in on the wires. You can also find what wire is your reverse on the taillights and tap in to that. I don't know the wire colors off hand. wrap the tap in with tape when done.
The mudflap lights are a unit. I got them from here: http://www.missgrizz.com/productline...hting_kit.html there are pics in my gallery if you didn't already see them. I still didn't hook up the reds yet.

I have the four prong one and i know that i have to take the reverse light off but i don't know how to tap into it. Can i just pierce the side with a knife and wrap it in electrical tape?

I need some better backup lighting on my PU ('02 F150 KingRanch). I first considered buying a "fire and ice" type LED strip, but I've read in other f150 forums that they don't put out enough light to do any good.

So now I'm thinking of getting one of the White Night units, but thought I'd see if anyone here has experience with either of the following backup lights:

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...0842&noImage=0

Lastly, is there any reason why I couldn't take a pair of running lights and mount them to the bottom of the bumper? I have a 7-pin trailer connector, so getting power to the lights while in reverse shouldn't be a problem. Are there any legal issues to consider?

Thanks!
Steve

Looks sweet!!

I just mounted to PIAA 4x6" lights off the bottom of my rear fender, boy are they bright!

If you dont mind cutting into the bumper then this works well too. Both my dad and my brother have it, they marked a place in the bumper and drilled a hole, and mounted tow PIAA 004XT in there. Very bright, and can take those tale gaters right off your tail, ill try to get some pics soon. Hope this helps anyone!
