yeah me too.. seemed too dim. took some pics but i dont have them with me. maybe its just that the light is concentrated in one area and not as difussed.

i got a led dome light from oznium.com . http://www.oznium.com/led-dome
that site has a lot of great led stuff. their very bright and i only got the small board. now im replacing the reverse lights and license plate lights from here http://www.ledlight.com/LZAuto.aspx i get them tuesday so ill let you know how bright they are. i also noticed that their more of a focused light but its bright enough that it doesnt bother me.

I did a nine smt led festoon bulb http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=344 for the rear and two nine smt led 194 bulbs for the front lights http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=348 and have not only been happy with them, but get asked often about where I got them from.

I have 1 of the ones in your bottom pic and its cool for me. As far the front goes, I went with the WLED-WHP LED Wedge Base Bulbs from superbrightleds.com. Check out this bulb.

when we put these in edward's truck we rewired the fixture. when he opens the door all three of the lights, Dome and both maps come on. Compensates for them seeming a little dimmer. (Extended cab)
