HID Problems.. Bad

Installed my HIDs. Very simple, straight forward. I received good information from another member here as far as wiring the hi/lo switch to factory wiring.

Well, it finally got dark, and something's wrong. The lows are high, and the highs are low. I tried switching the three wires every which way possible, and it makes no difference.

When I turn the lights off, they switch back to being actually low before turning off.

So, right now I gotta drive around with my "highs" on until I figure out what's wrong.

Any ideas?

That's what the wiring looks like.

What would the ballast have to do with it? I'm thinking the controller is bad. Is there any way I can test it?

you dont have pics of the controller?

My guess would be that the highs and lows were wired opposite or some problem with the relay/control unit.
Post better pics up of the controller, and any relays that you wired up and how you wired them. I cant tell what that mess of wires is that you posted.
All i recognize is the headlight wiring colors.

The only thing I had to wire up were those three wires in the pic. That was from the hi/lo controller. I followed directions from another member who has the exact same kit. When that didn't work, I tried connecting the wires every way possible, I.e. 1-2-3, 1-3-2, 2-3-1, 2-1-3, 3-1-2, 3-2-1.. No difference, they all did the same thing.

not to high jack your thread but I also installed HIDS over the break. Everything is good accept for when I turn on the fog lights. When I turn them on my High beam indicator on the dash comes on as if the high beams are on. How do I fix this?

I haven't resolved the issue yet, but anybody looking for HID's, definitely go with "flashplus" on ebay. He's been more than accomodating. VERY recommended.

If you can send me a copy of that diagram that would be cool. Maybe it can help me.

sorry is to the link from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...199342768&rd=1 for the ones i got and have worked perfectly fine, but i have already started the search for some hid projectors to do the mod, the hid is fine but just like the guys said on hid planet you will never get a good beam out of them, and i know now what they meant, will probably retrofit some fx35 hid proj. and some oem ballast and ds2 bulbs.
