You will, if you get a ticket......but you really do need it when it's hot.

It's kinda tough to exactly match the factor tint of the rear glasss because the tint is in the glass. Go to a car tint shop and they usually have samples you can match up pretty close

no to talk you out of window tint but ...

it tells potential thieves three things.

1. hes got something to hide
2. Window will not shatter, easy removal once broken
3. almost no sound when they do break it.

and yes i do think window tint looks pretty good in most cases, ive had it on every truck ive owned. You can do the doors state limit and the back window limo dark if you want, but keeping all three the same shade looks alot better.

17% is a exact match for the stock tint

Correct!

But 20-percent is damn near close.

PS: The OEM is actually "smoked glass" from the factory as opposed to a tint film.

Bull*****!! its $55-65 They tell you that high number so you will be afraid to get it! I will say that I have gotten a ticket in almost every car ive owned but they do not mess with me in my truck for some reason. Mine is 5% all over and %50 on the front windshield.

I disagree with #2. Not shattering is actually a theft deterrent. It can be a pain in the *** to bust through that stuff and get a door unlocked. A window with no film that shatters actually makes it faster for a theif to get in...and for thieves it's all about getting in quick and getting out quick.

I have new SolarGard Supreme 15% on my two front windows...it actually matches the factory tint in the back real well. I'm actually in the window film business and the clarity when looking out from the inside is the best I've ever seen. It's not legal, but in most states unless you do 35% on the front windows it's not legal anyway.

State Laws vary...your tinter knows best. You just have to ask yourself if you want Legal or if you want Looks? I've had technically illegal film on every vehicle I've owned and have never had a problem...but a lot of that depends on where you live.
