yep, i found a 5-pack for $0.99, but it was a 470 ohm resistor and i wanted to come on here and see what you guys think before i go wastin my moneh again! i was thinking tho....if i put it on my brake wire, dosent that mean it will dim the brake light also? this problem only appears when my main lights are on. i still want my bake lights to be bright when i press them.

just wire it in after the wire comes out of your brake/taillight's not before ..

splice in the resistor after the taillamps and before the fire and ice bar and you should be good... remeber soilder and shrink wrap everything ....

exactly what i would do, the resistor will only dim the strip and not the taillights and +a million on soldering and shrinkwrapping everything, it will last for a lot longer that way

I meant that I have it hard-wired right before my 4-pin. If I solder onto my brake wire (not the stock OEM brake lights but the 4-pin brake WIRE) wont that lower the brightness of the LED bar when I press on the brakes? And which wires are providing amperage for running lights? Just the brake wire? Thx.

Just running some thoughts....could it be the ground? The directions say wire onto the frame, so I have it wrapped around a screw coming off the frame. When I remove from the screw the lights go dark. Touch the screw and they light up, but no brightness difference.
