http://www.fordpartsonline.com look there. You can order from them too and it might be cheaper than a local dealer.

I assume you are talking about the 07 OEM painted mirror caps, as far as I know they can not be purchased separately, the whole mirror assembly has to be purchased.I am not sure what the part numbers above refer to, if it is the whole mirror then the price is off by a quite a few hundred dollars.

The part # mentioned in my previous post is for what he's requested. The mirror caps ARE available seperately. Trust me. I do this for a living and have been for over 14 years now.......

No they are not available as a seperate piece(the oem caps) He is asking for the part # for the painted half caps that come Standard from the Factory on the 07 fx2 .They are not available as a seperate piece you half to buy the whole Mirror assembly. Now if he wants the Aftermarket versions from Putco,TFP etc that is an option, but that is not A Ford Oem option, on what he asked the 07 fx2-- And the aftermarket caps do not look as good.

Ps I have be doing it for 30 years.

Toolcrib, you'd better look again. Not only are the chrome half caps, (known at Ford as "skull caps") available seperately, but the paint to match ones are as well. Order the part #'s I've provided, you'll see.............

You CAN order the paint-able caps separately from the mirror, and they are about $38.

The crappy part is they do NOT come painted. When that changes I will snag some

crashtheline, they are paint to match, so, you'd have to have a body shop paint them for you.
As far as removal goes, you have to depress the tabs on the inside of the mirror that hold it on. To do this, you have to adjust the glass to the extreme positions to see the tabs.
