Bull Bar/ Aux. Light Combo

I have a 2003 F-150 and am considering getting a bull bar with some KC daylighters straped to it. I was hoping that i could see some pics, of the pre-2004 body style with a set up like this. Also, there are tons of different bull bar brands, what would look the best? many opinions welcome!!

~THX~

So what is the purpose of the bull bar besides the appearance? I love the look and am considering them myself.

I've only had my 4x4 truck for about a month now and don't have a bull bar but I can give one reason....

I has to leave a Jeep trail as another vehicle was blocking it. I cam around a bush and never saw a large rock on the side of the road. I was just crawling along and pushed it about 4". It just scraped up my air dam a little. That is when I decided I wanted a bumper guard or bull bar. You cannot always see things right in front of the truck due to the lift and front end. While I've still not rules out a bumper guard, to protect the entire painted bumper, I like the skid plate on the front of the bull bar. I'm also hoping that a bull bar might offer enough front end protection for this reason.

Adding lights makes it better for off roading, As far as strength minor stuff it would protect but I don't think I would go trying to pull anything real heavy.

I used mine once on a pulley system we had set up to skin a deer at our cabin and with the lights it worked great

awesome thanks for the info. before buying my 06 f150 fx4, i had a chevy avalanche and had an OEM brush guard on. my brother waas driving it and rear-ended someone and the brush guard actually bent back and did the majority of the damage. turns out, it was just there for looks....not strength

i hope that bull bars have more strength than that!!
