Just have someone help you start from one edge and then go across to the other side. Just be careful it is straight all the way across I had my one end try to hang down and not be level with the rest of the led so I had to take that end off and then press it back down.

Yeah but never when I'm ready to buy something. Just my luck.

Travel pin??
I did my White Lightning LOF tonight. What is the consensus on the tail gate pin? How many of you guys removed it? I think it looks like crap with that pin sitting in the corner blocking some of the lights.
I ended up trimming mine down with a hacksaw because it hit the LED bar. Reinstalled it and now it only serves as a plug vs. a stop. Ken said his gate still hits the bumper with the travel pin installed, so still trying to figure out the purpose of this pin.
The LOF is
The LOF is
i installed my recon line of fire today....and on my 2003 it doesnt hit the tailgate pin....fits perfectly....maybe 2003 bed is wider or different bed...
i only have one question ,is there a way to may the lights come on only when u hit the brakes or turn signal?

The Mystery is over - Tailgate pin
I figured out what the tailgate pin is for!!!
The reason it's only on the right side is that it's made to assist you in pulling off the tailgate.
The right side you pull off first then rest it (the tailgate) on the rear bumper sitting on the pin to give you room not to pinch your fingers while you pull the left side of the gate off. That's it!
No other purpose so if you want to pull it off go for it.
