Anyone install chrome pillars? pros/cons?

I just wanted to see some pix and hear some thoughts for and against the chrome door pillars. I already added the stainless door handles and fuel door so this seems to be the next possibility. I would go with the polished stainless I guess but lets see who has done this already and who would not consider it. Here is a picture in case some might not know what the heck I am talking about.

I don't think chrome pillars would look good but ....that is just my opinion and I'm sure some will disagree.

Yeah I wish they had some software where you could put your exact vehicle and add cosmetic treatments to see how they would look. I know they have that program for wheels but it would be cool to see other stuff on your ride before you but it.

I guess I could wrap my pillars in foil and squint?

I like the look on the tan color truck but on a dark blue truck or a black truck like mine it would look strange.

yeah I was thinking the same thing but maybe with all stainless handles, grille, and fuel door it might balance out the pillars.

I ran across a Super Crew with them installed and I just didn't like the looks. And I tend to like chrome accents on a truck.

I bought and installed the exact one you have posted, from Ebay I assume, its where I bought mine. While I had no problems with the install, fit and finish the more I looked at them and the more I thought what if I want to remove them in a few years what will I have to do replace the entire pillar? so after about I week I took them back off with a heat gun before they had time to "set up." I still have the cuts on my hand from doing so.

Not to ramble on but I liked the way they looked but the more I looked at it the less I did if that makes sense. With tinted windows the chrome break between the front and rear glass made the truck look to busy the all black windows and pillars look better. I may go with the glossy pillars that I have seen others speak of.

Where have you seen the glossy pillars? Do you have a link to any pictures?

I've been thinking about having my pillars painted gloss black. My truck is black so I think it would look good.

Yeah I think I may like the glossy look also, but I have not seen them available. The only others I have seen have been carbon fiber look, and they look extra cheesy. I think you guys may be right and it may be too much bling but the flat black looks bad too IMO.
