Handle/Fuel Door Cover Hints

So i ordered the full complete door handle covers (doors + tailgate) and it should arrive next week with any luck. Today i went ahead and ordered the fuel door cover as well, that should be here in 11 working days.

So my question is to all of those who have done either of these, what are some hints and tricks and cleaning advice you can give me to get it absolutely perfect? Thanks

Did you get the stainless or the ABS? I just put on the stainless myself and the y were well worth it! My only advice is to buy a little extra red 3M adhesive tape to cover the gaps. I know you can do without but I figured why not get full grip. As far as prep cleaning I think the wet rag/dry rag works just fine, just make sure it is nice and clean and of course dry.

BTW, where did you get them and what brand?

Got them off ebay. MADE FROM STRONG ABS MATERIAL WITH TRIPLE CHROME PLATING.

Can't wait to get them and put them on! Then i got the fuel door cover, it's constructed from high quality mirror polished T-304 stainless steel.

Yeah I have the exact same fuel door, you'll love it. I would have stayed away from ABS door handles though because of constant use and touching. ABS is great for "cosmetic" type stuff but I don't think it holds up well to constant touching. Just my opinion. I got a full set of 5 handles and fuel door on ebay for $120 delivered and I'm very happy with them.

FYI, be carefull when handling the fuel door though. I dropped a tool on it in the living room while prepping and it did take a small dent. :o

I got the polished aluminum fuel door at autozone for $20 and it had to be tweaked a little bit, but it fit perfectly in the end
