Buy a GT style HOOD. Scoops that arent functional are pointless.

i guess i should have explained....i am wanting to do the scoop mod as well. if you do a search on here you will see people are using the scoop and cutting there hoods to create a ram air setup with some other scrap yard parts.......don't know how much more functional you are thinking a person needs.

also, i would rather spend $5-700 on new tires than a hood. In other words, i am going budget here.

What year Mustang are you running? I bought a Xenon scoop for mine and I'm very happy with it. I chose not to make mine functional because I didn't want to deal with all the crud on the engine. I show my car and have enough trouble keeping the engine bay clean without all the dust and pollen getting blown in. If you want a functional scoop, the best one I've seen is the Shaker scoop by Classic Design Concepts. It's not cheap, but it's well made and has provisons to seal the engine compartment and deal with water. I believe they make it for several Mustang body styles.
