Sylvania headlights
Sylvania headlights
Anyone try the Sylvania Silverstars? I was thinking about it, but what differences do they make really. Obviously noticed at night, what do they do? I don't want them to be euro headlights like a benz, those are annoying and I don't want to annoy.
They're not annoying like a Benz, I think they're great. They're more of a whiter light than the stock bulbs, sounds goofy I know. They are brighter, and help you see much better. I can't see how I ever did without them. Best $40 I ever spent, and I got a rebate
I was pretty sure the Sylvania's were good, a different look head on, not that blue crap. So your saying it's (pardon the pun) a night and day diff during night driving? I really don't mind the stock, every car I've had and gotten used to it I guess, but if it makes that much of a diff, maybe I'm in too!
My next question is, how about the foglights? Do they match up to them in color say? I don't want to mix that way, or maybe there is some foglight to compliment these? Maybe these comments are stupid or minor, but something to address I guess. The foglights seem to have a yellowish to em like the headlights do, that's why I ask. Thanks for the help so far, and it's good to see they have good life to em too.

Oh well, f### them if they can't take a joke, right? I get people flashing their brights at me now, then I do and they back off. My old ladies sunfire gets it even worse and the lights are aimed proper, as far as I can tell. I bet people will flash more though!

They are 42 W instead of 21 W, which seems to work fine by the number of posts with people using them.
The silverstar bulbs that I put in my '01 are still in there ( dad has it now ) and it even took a front end hit with them on.
I want to say they are about 3 or 4 years old now ( dad might be replacement them soon ?? )
I guess how long they last depends on how much you use them.
I didn't have DRLs in my '01, so that helped out ( in the 99-03 the DRLs were on the low beam element, on the 04+ they are now on the high beam element ).

Do you guys get a lot of cars flashing their brights at you?
