These are the best pix that I have on the site right now. The installation is super simple (at least mine is, not sure if they're all like this) You just open the lid and there is a bracket with a bolt - the bracket goes on the under side of the box and attaches to the bed rail (inside edge) the bolt goes through a hole in the bottom of the box and you thread a nut down onto it and tighten it down. Done.

Check out my gallery, I got pics of my truck w/ toolbox. Really, Really easy to install. I just drilled down into the side of my bed to install mine (4 screws). Some use the clamps (no drilling).

i treid to use the clamps or j bolts provided with the tool box but it didn't work too well with my box liner and rail covers (?) so i used 2 screws and 2 bolts. now its snug as a bug in a rug. (okay i deserve to be slapped for that one)

I picked up a pretty cheap Delta box that didn't come with any hardware. I grabbed some "J" bolts from ACE and drilled some holes in the box for better placement. The "J" bolts make for easy and quick removal of the toolbox if I need to move a couch or something.

A few things since I work at a Hardware Store where these are available to Special Order. You can go to a Home Depot and order a truck box that is flushmount, standard above bed (i think 4 inches) raise and also low profile (I think 2 inch). Something I was amazed you can order is the Diamond Plate that is dyed to match your truck. You can call Home Depot and get pricing on these too (they sell Husky Boxes).

flushed tool box

Easy to install and light weight, that is if you choose aluminum. Steel is durable but...heavy. The install is basic, the clamp are going to lock underneath the rails.

Mine are 10 years old, and look better cleaned up, but that doesn't happen very often anymore. lol.

I used to always have an air compressor mounted in the bed as well, but it's been a while since I took it on a job with me.
