question about bolt-on grilles

I have an '06 F150 XLT with the honeycomb grille, and want to add a bolt on grille...my question...will the honeycomb grille be noticeable through the bolt on??? I am interested in something with horizontal bars...Any comments will be appreciated...

I think that it will show through the new grille. I just went with a replacement grille.

Some showed more than others. Where you planning on putting the Blue Oval back on? I've seen some that left it off and you could see the black oval through the grille from the origional more than the honeycomb and it was not pretty IMO.
I went with a full replacement for that same reason.

I did a Carriage Works replacement bar style grill. It's just my opinion but thats what I would suggest to prevent that cover up look.04 Crew.

I've seen one around town and you can see the honeycomb, I would just go with the replacement. Good luck!

I got a cover-up bolt on, you can see it plain as day close up. From 20 feet it looks great, I have the 2 bar style which is worse! Still looks good, but spend the extra money!
