It's not a matter of how much you need, but what you think looks good. Diffrent people have diffrent opinions of what looks good. As for me, I have about 50 feet of red loom under my hood.

Wink

Maybe 20' for me. Two pkgs. of the 3/4" and one of the 1/4" stuff. Didn't want to overdo it I used yellow tie wraps made by the same company to give it some contrast........98

Thnaks guys. Without looking at the engine I was just going to order 25ft of 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4. Now that I see that most only used 25-50 total I might cut that order down a bit. What is the most common size('s) you used also. I might go ahead with my original, this stuff is cheap and I can always use it somewhere else and I can make sure there is enogh of the size I need most.

I used three sizes. 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/2 inch. All three packages came with 20' of loom, I used all of the 1/4 and 1/2 and half of the 3/8.

Hey Firezap, your engine compartment looks great. You said you used some paint in there, could you let me (us) know what you painted and what kind of paint you used? It looks like that throttle body cover is chrome, or is that chrome paint. If it is, I never thought that stuff was that shiny.

I think that the throttle body cover and big electrical cover on the firewall are contenders for being BILLET. Those in the business should hear this and build one.

Cool

I used regular auto paint. Clean each part with dish soap to get all the grease/armorall off. Use light coats, like overspray for the first 2 coats. The throttle body is just paint but is a 97 model with my factory tailgate emblem on it.

I painted the front cover, throttle body cover, relay box lid, starter relay cover, battery box and the hood struts.

Check out the whole engine compartment
