I to have the Westin's and I think they suck!!!! I had three sets on my truck and each set was taken off due to the powdercoat peeling off and rusting out. Just today I picked up my Westin CPS powdercoat stainless steel only to open the box a find that the powdercoat is already peeling off of these also. I think that I will look elsewhere when I take these back.

LeatherRebel,

IMHO, the Maniks look the best. Just for this simple fact. Manik doesn't cut the step out of the steel for the indentation. They pound down the step and level it out making it more stable.

I'm not sure if Westin does this but I would think cutting out the step would weaken the structure.

You can also get them for a discount if you don't mind repainting them. Check out http://www.manik.com/merchant2/

Good luck!!

Cool

I have the Westins and they are great!!! They have held up to all I have done. When the powercoat comes off, you fix it, or buy a new set. This will happen with all the black ones out there people, live with it. Mine have been on my truck for 2 1/2 years and still look good.

Thumbs up

I tried both. The Manik were a little difficult to install and their 800 help line was useless. I then ordered the Westin and am very pleased...easy to install and I love the look on my 98 F150. I searched several sites and finally decided on www.truckstuffusa.com. Their price was very low when compared to other top sites...I stay away from those fly by nights. The bars arrived the next day! Wow...that was fast.

PS - Thanks for the headsup on the rebate form at Westin. I'm sending in for my $25 today.

First, Thanks to everyone for all their input, it is what makes boards like this so invaluable!!

Second, I decided to go with the Westin's from AtlantaAuto.com. Customer Service goes a long way in my book and with WYSIWYG I decided to give them a shot.

Also, mudder's picture is a good indication of how rugged they are!!

Thanks again everyone!
