Yes it may be done. Pretty much vey carefully breaking the seal with a razor blade and taping off the red lenses. I would recommend using a primer and very importantly making sure you seal them very well. Moisture is a big problem, once you brake the original seal. Seal them good with caulking. GOOD LUCK!
