Altezza's Baby!!

Finally got some Altezza lights for my truck and the custom trailer I am building! I bought them from eBay and after the auction I E-mailed the seller to find out if I could get a second pair for the same price...he said "YES!" Check out how much I paid for these bad boys...click here to see the actual eBay auction (my eBay name is truckinf250)! The lights are made by APC and are the same lights selling at www.godfathercustoms.com for $209 per pair! I got two pairs for $152 plus shipping! Here are a few pics:

I got a quick question for ya. I always thought that these things would look even better if the chromed part was color matched to the truck. Could you tell if there's a way to remove the clear plastic (to paint the inside) and then put the plastic back on?
Let me know please. If you think this is possible I think I'll get a set and mess around with them.

Alf, there are "carbon-fiber-look" ones available for many other applications. I can only imagine that they will be out for us soon. You're right, they look great on dark trucks. As for painting to match any color truck, not sure on that one. But, if you have a black or even dark blue truck, the carbon ones would look good.

Heres mine,,,,check the new Truckin issue, they have them in all kinds of colors. If I had waited a few more weeks,
the carbon fibers would've looked great on my truck. But I still love'em!!

Ginuwinestylz - where did you get the carbon fibers and how much? I haven't scene them anywhere yet fot our trucks.

Ginuwinestylz Dec 14, 2000 11:24 AM

Captain- I got them from a shop in Kokomo Indiana and he got them from APC. I paid 235 for them b/c they are really hard to find right now but he said he can get them. If you want the number it's 1-765-459-9990. Ask for AL

It doesn't seem like there is a way to take it apart...at least I wouldn't try to. It
looks as if the clear lens is glued pretty good to the light assembly and trying to take it apart would probably crack it. If you wait long enough, they may start making them in different colors like they already do for the Chevy S-10's.

I got my Carbon Fiber Alteeza Lights from www.CustomAutoParts.com. They sold them to me for $189.00 plus shipping. On the online store it was more, but I called them and spoke to a guy named Adam, and he said that he would sell me them for $189.00. That was by far the best price I could find. I think their number was 877-788-4227. They said they got alot in stock, and I got mine like in 3 days.

Alf Dec 15, 2000 09:24 AM

Trucking, thanks for the reply. You're right about waiting, I think I'll get the street scene mirrors in the meantime.

Not long ago I stumbled across a company on the net that manufactures this really thin film with tiny tiny holes all over. It can be painted to match any color and then applied to either the headlights or tailights. Good concept but it doesn't look as good as it sounds (judging from their own pictures). If I can find the address I'll post it for everybody to check it out.
