Exclamation Black VS. White

Ok, I've been torn over this question for the past couple weeks, black f150 or white f150? I own a white explorer now and love how it seems to stay clean and doesnt show much dirt. But I love the look of the black! Can someone help me out here with thier experiences? Thanks!!!
--Its killing me because i live in Arizona and white is plentiful on the lots where the gm tells me there isnt a black one in the city! But im willing to wait it out...i think...

I didn't want a white truck becase most fleet trucks are white. I wanted something a little different. Are white trucks clearcoated? I know white Cobras didn't get clearcoats, some of those owners were kinda pissed about that.

Hey Mudder,

What kind of lift is on that white F150? And does it have a bodylift as well?

Thanks,

Bill

Question

Black is the look cool & smooth color, but requires alot more time to keep it looking that way. My wifes Supra starts showing dust and dirt the same day I wash it.

Dark colors look great, but I have to agree with DAVENSA: White is more practical for hot climates. I have a 99 white SC which is clear coated, shines ever bit as much as anything else on the road - but does not show the tiny imperfections that owners of dark colored vehicles often complain about.

After 3 black vehicles and one dark green I finally purchased my first light color.

Black is the best when it's clean and the worst when it's dirty!

If you are going to keep it garaged then it's not that bad. Only get it if this is so. Otherwise that AZ sun will age it real quick! Another factor is how long you are planning on keeping the vehicle. If you want this to be around 10 years from now, and still look good, get white.

Thumbs up

How about going for a two tone paint.
I have the white top with the blue bottom.
The Blue allmost looks black in some light conditions.
I also have the blue interior, with blue dash, and moldings, and I love it.

Go with a white one since you live where it gets hot for little over half of the year as white will not get as hot I can tell the differnce from my dark blue mustang I had last summer to my white truck I have this year as it doesn't feel as hot inside of it after sitting in the sun with the windows up plus the fleet truck look has another advantage alot of the city trucks for electric and water are white f150's around here where I live and I have gotten away with speeding a few times because I have a white truck and the cop thought it was a city truck as I flew by.
