Mr. Clean sucks! bought it and returned it. uses waaaay too much soap. doesn't get sudsy enough, water doesn't come out fast enough like a regular hose nozzle, and it takes forever to use the filtered water cuz its only like a mist that comes out. took me alot longer to just wash the truck with mr. clean than it would for me to wash it the normal way and dry it and quick detail it.
what did i expect for 15 bucks though

Harley#356,
Yes it uses alot of soap, But it gets the Job done, I have not yet once had to go back over to clean something it missed. And there is a purpose for the water going through the filter slow, Thats what Makes it a Spot FREE Dry. Also Flow through the Nozzle is more than Suffient to Get the Job done, Sorry you Had such a problem with this product, but Perhaps its due to user Error.

I think it's awesome. To wash my dark True Blue truck and not have to dry it and it comes out spot free. What sucks about that? Maybe it's more for the person that's not real **** about cleaning their ride. They want it to look nice, but don't want to spend the day doing it.
Harley#356 - I side with you, sort of. It took the entire trial size of soap to do my KR. This is the size that's promoted as being good for 3 washes. Of a Mini, maybe.
I also noted that it water spotted. Not as badly as would normally occur, but it was not spot free.
On the plus side, however, the truck looked really clean. I also found it convenient to be able to switch between water and soap on demand.
I guess I'll try it again and not totally depend on the sheeting action to eliminate spots. (I'll break out the towels to dry up the 'problem areas).

Water is different all over the country. So some may get spotting and others won't. It will also depend on the temperature and if you are washing in direct sunlight or shade.
Harley#356, I'm not surprised you didn't like the product. You have such a great looking truck and really keep it clean. This product is for us "not so detailed" people, not you show quality people!
I used the Turtle Wax product as well. It worked really well for a quick wash. But if you have a really dirty truck it will still need to be wiped.
I found that the products work great. I would wet and soap down an area, scrub it, and rinse. The soap didn't have a chance to dry and I always had fresh clean water. Not dirty water from a bucket. Try this sometime and you just might agree.
Soap does not have to bubble to be effective. The bubbles are there only to let you know that the soap is there. Bubbles are irrelevant.

definately not user error, its more like experience detailing my truck speaking. i can see how it would work perfectly fine on a work truck or just a beater or daily driver where as long as its pretty clean it is sufficient, but for my HD and restored 85 it needs to be above and beyond that. wasn't looking for miracles, but i was looking for somethign better than a bucket hose and wash mit. didn't find it with mr. clean. then again what should i have expected for 15 bucks?
the thing also didn't mix the soap up well enough in the water. just used a crap load if it. i can feel the difference in the washmit against the paint when i put enough soap in my bucket or not enough. when there's not enough mixed in with the water the wash mit sort of drags across the paint (like with the mr. clean), when there's enough soap mixed in with the water the wash mit just glides across cuz its more lubed up. dont know where all the soap in the mr. clean went to because it wasn't mixing with the water very well. you'd think with all the soap it used it would be slippery as a fresh wet *****
i think i'm gonna give it a try.it usually takes me about an hour and a 1/2 to wash my truck, then if i want it to look really good another hour and a half to detail it.and that's just the body, trim and tires, not cleanin the frame or inner fenders or anything
Remember this:
1.) Rinse-regular water
2.) soap & washmit
3.) Rinse with filtered water.
DO NOT rinse with the unfiltered water between the soap and second rinse or you will defeat the whole purpose of using the Mr. Clean system.
