LAMBO Doors

well i got them installed today. got some body work left to finish and it started raining before i had time to take pics with fenders on it.

this is were i had to trim the inner part of the fender and why i now have body work to complete.

this kit sure wont be for everyone. its neat and went on easy enough. doors still close like factory too.

door still opens far enough before lifting that i can get in and out without lifting door if i want to.

Cool

That's really cool. Who made the kit you chose?

Why do you say: "this kit sure wont be for everyone. its neat and went on easy enough. doors still close like factory too." if it went on so easy and works so well??

Just wondering...

BTW - Do you have a picture of the passenger side with the fender off that you would post?

I'm especially interested in the are where the antenna mounts...

Thanks if you can post.

there made by verticaldoors inc. they are way to expensive i think but they do work good and look to be built tough.

nope didnt take any with the passenger side but the antenna mounts to the fender itself and then the cable just plugs into it.

and the instuctions show rolling the fender with a hammer to fold down the area i ended up cutting off. the hammer worked on my freinds eclipse but there is way to much bracing in the f-150 fender and i ended up denting it all up. the passenger side went alot smoother because i just cut what i needed off with a sawzall.

That could get ugly if parked in a Hi-rise parking garage. I think it might hit the concrete ceiling if you werent careful???

pretty cool though

Lambo doors

Hey guys a company called New Dimensions also makes those doors for F150's and they said its powered and requires no additional work to fit them; they also said they fit like factory. I was wondering about the roof thing too, but I want to get one for my truck. New Dimension is selling the them for around $2600.What do you think... worth it?

i cant see any way that you could get away without the inner fender rolling there just isnt enough room. it would be cooler if they were automatic but thats also alot more than i paid for mine.

Wow! That's just sick, I love it.

How are they balanced in regard to door weight? Does it take a lot of effort to raise the door?

they actually arnt that hard to lift or close.

need a bumper cover and hood first. i'm not a big fan of the roll pan on daily drivers seen to many times what happens when you get rear ended with out the bumper.

i'm beginning to like them more everyday i think it was just such a big change it took alittle getting used too. still have to adjust the drivers side some im getting alittle wind noise.

I'm wondering if the accordian piece in the door jamb that the wires run through is still the stock item. It appears to be stretched out to its limit. Also, did you have to make the wires that are inside it longer too?

BTW, I saw the same door kit on Ebay a while back. If I remember correctly the buy now price was $1800.
