Cheap Apperance Mods??? Ideas and Pics.

Hello everyone. I did a search and I couldn't really find any good ideas. I was wondering what people have done for some good looking, low cost apperance mods??? I have a tight budget right now but I would like to spruce the F150 up a little if I can. If anyone has some good ideas they have used please post up some pics and let me know. Thanks.

My truck is the tan/gold color, most of everything on the truck is black: nerf bars, brush guards and things. I am not a hugh neon fan, however it looks great, it is illegal in Iowa so it is kind of a waste. I have some new emblems on the truck, plus windows will be tinted soon. Need some more ideas.

Yeah, you might want to check out www.streetbeatcustoms.com and www.sporttruckdirect.com , im in AZ and so are both of the stores, sport truck direct is about 3 miles away from me i get all my parts from them. I dont know if you're looking to do tail/head lights but i picked up a set of 1 piece Matrix projector headlights from sport truck, i LOVE them they have them on the site you should see if you like them, i got them in black, and they look ALOT better in person i was skeptical about them in the picture but i saw them at the store in person and loved them. are you offroading with the truck or making it a sporty looking truck? they have a really nice bumper that looks good on offroad F150's, its the street scene Gen1 bumper cover, check out their grills too.

as for cheap appearance mods, get a guage overlay off ebay for around $10, then paint your needles to match. here are mine. or get a can of spray paint, open up your hood, and start pullin pieces off and painting them. there are all kinds of things you can do, just get creative.

You can acetone your ford emblems so that they are all chrome with about 50 cents worth of acetone and paper towels.

Here's a few things I've done :

Paint the intake cover.

'04 emblems and taillight covers.

OEM foglights/valance (no tow hooks) and aftermarket grill.

Thanks for the ideas. I really like the new emblems from the '04, I may have to try that. I would paint the intake cover but I don't have one as I have an aftermarket intake. I like the new grill also, just a little pricey for right now. I was going to do the guage overlay but it just seemed a little tough to install. I am going for an offroad look also. I have most of the major apperance and performance mods I want right now, I was just looking for some ideas for some low budget mods that people have done to spruce up my truck a little. Thanks.

What intake do you have that you no longer have the cover? I have replaced the intake tube since the pic was taken, but still have my cover on...

I have the SpiralMax intake system. I don't have any pics of the engine bay as I have no digital camera. The tube is rather large and the intake cover just doesn't fit. The instructions show the removal of it. Looks better without it also.
