Adding an amp to a 2016 Supercab XLT 2.7L Ecoboost with stop/start

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading my factory system. Looking at adding an Alpine 5ch PDR-V75 (650w total into 4ohms), new speakers and an 8" sub... probably a processor that I'm still researching.

My question - has anyone added a similar or higher wattage system and if so, has it had any impact on "stop/start"? Really looking to understand if you noticed a difference in how often the stop/start kicks in? Another way to ask - do you think the added power sink impacts the battery enough to reduce stop/start battery voltage level trigger?

Thanks!

Most people that add additional amplification commonly adds a second battery near the amplifier. Some may add a capacitor, but I wouldn't suggest it. However, it can be an alternative to adding a second battery to your vehicle.
