Yeah, time to bite the bullet and take it to someone that knows what they are doing.

i think im just gonna try to upgrade all at once. i think if i get two more shallow 10s and get a bigger amp and rewire everything and that should quake enough. i set the gain right and just the setup i have now makes my vision blurry when it hits. its INSANE. phoenix gold makes some great subs

Why upgrade if it is already INSANE and makes your vision blurry? Just replace your flaky headunit and set it all up correctly which it clearly isn't if the amp is going into protection all the time. Adding two 10s is just going to muddy up the bass unless you have a pro design a system with an EQ to tailor your frequency response and design the correct enclosures. I think you are already in over your head.

well thats a long time from now im not really worried about it at the moment. but i figured out why the amp cuts out. its because of voltage drops. the amp only cuts out when the lights dim. so i think im gonna do the big three and see if that helps out. and i would like to make it more insane i dont see anything wrong with that. i would definitely have to upgrade the door speakers and the head unit if i do that too
