Here is a pic of the harness I copied from another post if you decide to go that route.

with regard to the question about power wire. I ran power and turn on up the pax side of the truck, rca's and speaker wire down the middle thru the console. Connected to the dark green/light green in the pic at the beginning of this thread. It's the green one to the right of that wad of speaker wire that I'm holding. Different colors for different trucks, years maybe? Mine is 07'

How should I tap into the current speaker wire? Not sure what you mean by tap into it. Do I need the wiring harness above?

Try that link, or just go to crutchfield and type in your amp. Then on the right, you can download the owners manual with wiring instructions.
Looks like on that amp, they give you a harness to run the wires into, then plug the wires into the amp.
