Amp behind seat
Amp behind seat
this might be a dumb question. i have a 07 crew cab. i put my amp on the back wall of the cab. how important is the carpet piece that goes behind the back seat? i didn't know if i need to put it back on or if i could just leave it off.

Hey hayden check this link and look what this guy did to solve his problem. He used sound dampening, I cut a hole on mine around the amp but look bad, it is behind the back seat I know but my truck deserve better finish.

I actually found that it adds noise. Its just another piece of material that can rattle or move around. I took mine out and replaced it with butyl sound deadener.
OP: Check out my gallery for some ideas, and search other threads as many people have done this.

I cut mine to fit the amp board and put it back on. I would've did the whole sound deadening thing, but didn't have the time or the money. I don't notice any added noise and it really don't look half bad. I really should've painted the amp board black though. I'm kickin' myself...
