2009 Amps on back wall

They have lots of room, and its actually easier to mount them without even removing the back seat. I did however remove the back seat and covered the back wall with FatMat. I need to rebuild the sub box as i didn't account for the thickness of the floor mat and now the seat just barely rests on it. I recessed the sub but it still concerns me.

Sorry for my newb question, but what are you actually screwing the amp into on the back wall? I have not been back there so I don't know if there is a sheet of wood or plastic or if you guys are fabing stuff up.

Thanks in advance

Its sheet metal on the back wall that you screw into but it is corrugated on the inside and flat on the outside meaning if you screw into the highpoints you don't screw into the outer layer. Just use self tapping sheet metal screws.

Excellent thanks King.
So you guys are also throwing a layer of dynomat or similar over the corrugated sheet metal as well? I thought I read that somewhere on here.

I know this is off topic but will the 09-10 weather mats like you have fit in an 07? If so what is the part number?

Talked to an installer today he said he attaches an amp board with the 2 sided tape on the corrugated metal and then screws the amp from there so he doesn't have to damage anything. Anyone feel this is better or worse? and for what reasons?

I dont think it matters. I screwed my boards straight to the raised portions of the backwall, so it will not penetrate both layers of the backwall...no damage done. Frankly, screwing it down is probably much sturdier than using 2 sided tape.

With all that heat I just dont see the double sided tape actually holding over time.

Hey nice job man looks nice. You got any pics of it with the amps installed but the carpet covering on the rear not on? Gonna do it to mine soon. Hey where did you get that nice rubber floor mat for the rear???

Yeah, i'll post the rest of the pics when i get home. Hopefully my new sub box will be waiting for me. The one i am going to use until i get off my lazy *** and just make a proper fiberglass box like i have wanted too for my 2003, 2006, and now 2009 f150's. The floor mat came with the truck!
