Here is what I would do personally...I would get the Standard Harness (metra 70-5520) and Reverse Harness (71-5520)for your truck. Wire those two harnesses together for your powers/ground. Then, on the reverse harness (the side that plugs into your stock deck) hook your ISVE 61 up to that and cap the truck side of it. This will save you the hassle/headache of having to cut/splice into your factory harness, and makes it a lot easier to return to perfect stock condition.

So I only need the 4-channel converter and the I run RCAs from the 4-channel amp to the mono correct? Sounds simple enough.

you'll lose a little bit of sound quaility, but it should be too much to notice. Does your truck have RAP?

RAP= Retained accessory power. Does your radio stay on after you shut the key off until you open the door?

I dont think you need to create your own pin...you can tap into ignition and use that. Just make sure to fuse your wire and you'll be okay.

Yeah I have RAP. How exactly do you fuse the wire? Do you have any pics? What size and type of fuse. I've never fused a small wire like that. And I put the fuse between the HU and what?

I usually use a 5 amp fuse and two of these, just female instead of male. Couldnt find a good pic of females.

Fuse your remote wire between your HU and your amp, usually within 6-10 inches from the headunit.

What are they called? And does the fuse just plug in and the wires crimp on?

Is there a specific wire to look for, for the power up? Ignition wire or something? Sorry to hijack thread, I have 07 Lariat. Yes, RAP.

Thanks
