Nope . The MTX 1501D requires a 1/0 guage power wire just for itself . The other 1/0 guage wire powers the remaining 2 amps , MTX crossover and Pioneer XM tuner .

Maybe .

I had forgotten which amps you had exactly. I knew there was enough power on tap to send us back to the cold war, I just didnt look at the pics again.

lol yeah. Just run it under the truck. My truck sees more abuse off the pavement than any of those here in the audio forums, i'll keep you updated on how the wire holds up to the elements. My wire is triple wrapped and i used many adhesive mounts to keep it in place...it aint going nowhere.

Yes you can run it inside . The only reason people run it on the outside , is if your using 1/0 gauge or larger . It's kind of hard to hide wire that large under the carpet . Since your using 8 gauge , I would run it inside . How long is your run ? I'm not familiar with that amp , you might want to think about using 4 gauge .

That amplifier draws 60 amps of current . You would be fine with 8 gauge , as long as your run is only up to 7 feet . If it is over 7 feet(which it more than likely is) I would run 4 gauge . Why starve your amplifier of power ? Please see chart below .

This is my favorite basic guide to figuring out your wire.....

It actually makes it fun.

Anyone got pics of a 1/0 wire showing where to locate fuseblock then how it goes from fuseblock to belly of truck to the point where you are routing yours to the passenger grommet?

I screwed my fuseblock to the side of the engine compartment, right above the batt. (Short screws are better here....)
