06 F150 SuperCab

I have the 4 door (2 suicide) supercab and am about to install a 1200w Tsunami Amp kit for my dual 12" kicker CompVR. was wondering if I need to do any drilling to the firewall to get to my battery or if i can run it through something. if anyone has any pictures it would be helpful. thanks!

I dont have pictures, but its so easy to find its not even funny. There are two options on these trucks.

1) There is a beautiful grommet right behind the battery on the firewall.

2) When you pull up the passenger side door sill to run RCA's and what not, there is a grommet towards the back of the truck in the door sill. You can fit up to 1/0 in it.

Good luck, and let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the awesome information. dont quite have all my parts together yet but want to get an idea of what im going to face. another question I have is do i have a chance of using the factory HU? I'd rather not replace it if I can just get some type of adapter that supports RCA, since the factory HU does not have any extra hookups. Keep in mind I really have no idea what I am doing. I got a friend that works at ccity in the car audio dept. and have been leeching some information off of him. I understand that I need some sort of reverse harness aside from a standard harness? Some information would be helpful and pictures/links of the items I would need would be great too! Thanks in advance.

Naw man. All you need is a LOC (line output converter). It hooks up to your speaker leads coming off of the factory head unit and converts them to RCA leads. I prefer to hook it up to the rear outputs, that way you can fade it to the front and turn down the subs if you want to. Everybody does it different, thats just my preference.

That should be all you need other than maybe some new door speakers to keep up with the bass. Get you a decent set of 5x7's/6x8's and ride out till you get tired and want more. Which will happen, trust me. Car audio is just as addictive as crack....or so I've heard.

If you can go the route of wiring up a reverse harness and normal harness with an LOC inbetween that by far is the better option. Cutting the factory wires is never good...

I usually just either T-tap it, or strip it back and solder leads on. Thats what I was gettin at.

Anyone know where I can get some information on how to do this? And if so would it be a good idea to do it on my own or pay my friend at ccity the $50-60 for them to install it. I seriously dont know what I'm doing yet, but would like to learn. Didn't even pull out my HU but looked at some pictures online of my model and it doesnt have any RCAs or anything. All I know is I need RCAs to hook up my subs. I am so clueless.

Thought I'd post what I'm going with as well to get your guys opinion. I plan to just keep the back seat up for now because I want to go big but don't want to drop a big amount on an under-seat box. Never built a box before so I wouldn't know how to build one either.

Amp - Kicker 06ZX7501 (750w @ 2ohms, but underrated so ~900)

Subs - Kicker 07DCVR122 (800w RMS @ 2ohms)

And the prices aren't an issue for me on these two parts. Usually, the amp is $499 and the subs $399, but since I work at ccity get 75% off kicker =O.

Give him 75 to do off the clock and see what happens... I will always take 75 in my pocket vs. 6 bucks for the 30-45 min it takes me...

so i picked up a LOC from ccity and am about to give this whole thing a try on saturday. I had a chat with the guy at ccity and he recommends splicing a rear speaker wire to run the LOC since I am running off my stock HU. Anyone have a better recommendation that doesnt require cutting stock wires? Pictures would be very helpful too. Thanks
