BIG problem

I really need some people to help me think outside of the box for this one...I bought 2 RE SR 10's for my '06 F150 Lariat. The guy at Earmark said that the amp i bought would EASILY fit behind the back bench....problem is, it doesnt. Apparently the lariat supercrews and anything else are very very different, and this big beefy amp wont fit there. By the way, the amp is a Cadence Daytona 1000.1 (http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductC...idproduct=243). Im thinking i might be able to take out the AC vents under one of the seats and put the amp there, but the problem is with the damned power seating, the amp just probably wont work there. The other option i thought of is to put the amp under the center console, as in, take out the center console container, and put the amp right underneath it, put it back in, and bingo, you dont see it anymore. OR, can i move some of the **** around thats behind the back bench. OR, can i mount it inside of the back seat, i saw a picture somewhere of someone that did that with some big US amps, but i lost the link. Your help is seriously, VERY greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that amp is a lil too big. Can you return it?

In any case, you won't be able to remove the vent under one of the seats without removing them both, and that would seriously affect your air circulation. It's not really a vent as it is an intake for circulation. OTOH, as you mentioned, you could possibly have enough room under the center console, but may require some modification. You *could* put it inside the back of the seat, but that would require a bit of work. Other option is to install it in the bed if you have a hard cover. Or... you could just remove the passenger seat altogether

with an amp that powerful you will more than likely be pushing some big subs. With big subs comes the need for more space for the enclosure. You wil probably need a seat lift. After you raise the seat you can probably design an amp rack into the box. I will post the link for the guy who did to his rear seat.

My subs are already in the box and sound great in my friends suburban, the problem is trying to get the damned amp somewhere where i cant see it, and more importantly, no one else can see it, or know its there. Does anyone know of any walkthroughs on how to move some of the components behind the back seat to give me more room? or if any of my other ideas will work?

You won't fit that in the center cosole or behind the glove box. That amp is way too thick compared to other amps. Your best bet is to ebay that one for a profit since you say you got a deal on it.

how certain are you? i was looking at those US amps, but they seemed (unless i got the dimensions wrong) to be a bit beefier then this amp i have sitting here...and even then, im not sure if any amp will fit behind the back seat

My amps are US AMPS XT and they fit back there fine before I installed my seat lift and moved my back rest forward. I'd have to scrub to find those pics if I still have them. Anyways there's plenty of others with amps back there like renglanders post above.

There is an F150 on cardomain that had the front door panels modified and an amp installed on there. Kind of complicated, and I didn't like the look, but thought I would mention it.

As for the center console, I have taken out the floor shifter console out of my F150 and if you remove the vent conduit, use some mdf, you *may* have enough room underneath for the amp. I don't know if this is the center console you have or not.

I've had mine out too when I sound deadened my floor and I can guarantee there's not enough room under there. The vent ducts are maybe 2" tall at most. If you took out the storage box it may work then. I would leave those ducts alone though.
