No need to change the wire, just swap the fuse.

In your case, a 100 amp fuse will not drain your battery any faster than a 50, and you amp will not be getting any less 'power'.

When would a fuse would start to drain an cause less power?

what gauge power cable are you running? too small will draw more current and dim the lights more and blow fuses easier. you should be running at least 4 gauge even better 2 gauge

5gauge on batt an 4 on ground. I talked to the company they told me changing it to 4 would not effect it(lights dim an amp getting hot)........
