Chris -

Did you mean 24db/octave Butterworth crossovers, or am I missing something ?

I knew you would join in here. I was waiting to see what your thoughts would be...

Kudos on the McIntosh statement - IMHO they make the FINEST audio equipment you can buy, at any price. (Home equipment that is; I never had the pleasure of auditioning their car stuff).

I was blessed when I was born, because I am unable to hear meaningful differences between QUALITY amps, especially in a car audio environment.

I find it curious that people quote THD when it is one of the least meaningful measurements made to audio gear. Harmonic distortion is present in live music; it is present in many recordings. I personally have found that the S/N ratio is more readily apparent to your average listener, especially if it is bad...

Remember when, instead of "peak power" (stupid, useless measurement / hype), manufacturers actually measured the headroom of their amps and posted it in a scientific manner, expressed in db's? The good old days...

Oh well, the marketing people are working overtime anymore.

wantofok - Do everyone a favor and go away. You suck !!

ROUSHFAN-1 : Congrats on the birth of your "monster" ! Hope you keep us up to date with the install.

You can suck my fat nuts little B-Man, what's the B for anyways...Bitch?

Anyways, I wouldn't say THD is one of the least meaningful measurements cause it's not you dope. It's there for a reason not like "peak power" which is only as good as you said.

B-MAN,

Yeah I saw that I wrote Butterfield instead of Butterworth after the fact I don't have a clue as to why of course but thanks for pointing it out, I went back and edited it. I think I was referring back to younger years when I would go to a place in South Norfolk, VA called Butterfield Stage to listen to live music.

But hey, that's just like you B to lurk around those hidden corners waiting to pounce.

On another note how are things coming with the house? Well I hope.

Are you sure you didn't mean "little fat nuts" ?

ROUSHFAN-1 was posting about his new "toy" and you immediately jump in and throw an insult. You talk about another persons' mother; you call another person a ***; you call me a bitch and a dope and tell me to do something that is impossible for 2 reasons:

1 - Because I wouldn't do it

2 - It is obvious by your troll behavior that you don't have any *****...

If your knowledge regarding what the electronic measurements actually mean is anything like your command of the English language (as demonstrated in this thread), what you understand about electronic ratings would not fill a thimble.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor:

1. Work really hard and graduate out of junior high before you turn 18 (you are probably starting to scare some of the 12 year olds).

2. Buy a Kia and go be a troll in their forums.

3. Sign up for night school and take an English course.

You are a foul-mouthed little punk who hides behind their PC.

Go away...

Hey guys, when you respond to idiotic posts by idiotic people you are giving them just what they want. What other reason could someone possibly have to say things like have been said? I picture some lily-livered chicken **** sitting at his computer anxiously waiting to log onto f150online to see how his posts are doing. You know, wanting to see if someone really will suck his nuts. Can you imagine his disappointment if no one responded to him(I use that word loosely)? THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.

By the way, audiobahn is like most companies, in that, they make different lines, some of which are better than others. I don't think any of their stuff would be considered "high end".

Well, I was going to say a few different things but decided enough has been said already. However, if anyone would like to carry on a stimulating intelectual conversation. I will be at the bar.

Wow, you guys have really hurt my feelings...I don't think I'll be able to sleep anymore.

Sorry for not being as "smart and intellectual" as some of you brainiacs on here, esp. the genius B(itch)-Man and the other female, 97f250. I think that you are more than likely the little hoe on here since you're quick to talk smack when you problaly won't even back it up. I ain't hiding behind no pc, anyone is more than welcome to come over and settle any beef you might have w/me. We'll see who's the "lily-livered chicken ****" then.

Tell me about it...

I logged back into the forum to see a few new post, expecting to read something interesting, but instead I found the post just went completely down hill.

HAHA.. that's funny.

CGORRIS, ME, HAZARD and numerous others actually got into some very intelligent conversations about amplifiers. Granted some of my ideas were flawed but hey that's part of the learning process. THEN whatever-his-name-is just busts out with "suck my LITTLE fat nuts".

Sorry I didn't respond to your posts CGORRIS... I was away from the computer for over a week... out of town at a training seminar.
You brought up some VERY good points about the THD rating.

Just laughing at your intelligence level and comprehensive ability.
I just thought it was funny that right smack in the middle of all those good posts.. you jump in the mix with some vulgar, idiotic comment.

TEK,

No problem on the non-response. I thought it may have been that this thread has strayed a little too far off the beaten path to try and continue discussion on any topic. Realistically, there are now just to many pages that contain great comments that unfortunately are mixed in with so much nonsense that it becomes difficult to follow what the actual point of the thread was.

The thread goes from hey I got a new amp to your amp sucks to your amp rocks to yeah there are better amps to your momma to nu uh to I'm rubber nah nah nah to amps are inherrently identical in sound reproduction to big ***** (or something similar) to *** to the pitfalls of THD ratings to SQ qualities of certain amps back to your momma and now to hopefully quick death.

I think I should get an award for that runaway sentence.
Like Rodney King says, "Cain't we all jist git alawn?"
