Not the first time, Patrick!

And I've never had issues with being corrected - as many times as it takes - that's how one learns.

Good ol' Galaxy has got great instincts - and I'm purty much shutdown as far as me brain is concerned - the true sign of a great vacation!

Oops, don't let BJ catch you talkin' to me

OK Cory - I'll distill it down to:

First pick: 2010+ F150 efans and a DCControl controller.

Second pick: Two Derale 16" Tornados (or SPAL equivalants) and a DCControl controller.

I would never advocate a simple on/off controller when capable variable speed units are readily available. The elimination of inrush current concerns and more granular (read: constant temp) control is simply too beneficial to ignore.

Mornin' Corey.

Here's a good thread highlighting the 2010 efan, on a boosted truck:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ot...highlight=efan

And - a couple more to read (again, you may have already seen these):

The Painless controller is currently having QC issues which is why I'd not recommend them - allegedly a redesigned unit is coming in the fall. DCControl's new units are fresh designs as well.

Lots to absorb, eh? Good luck!

IIRC the stock mechanical fan moves about ~6,500CFMs.

Don't forget, Painless Wiring has an awesome controller that's got tons of options and controllability. It's out for a redesign; better heat tolerance or something, and will be available Jul/Aug timeframe. That's what I'm waiting on.
