e fans

okay im thinking about getting e fans for my f150 but how much power will they add and mpg (if i keep my foot out of it) 4.6L V8

i got about an extra 3-4mpg with that and a Predator combined. i did both at the same time so its hard to tell. definitely worth the time and investment

i saw a solid 1 to 1.5 mpg gain from doing efans on my 2003 4.6 supercrew

And word to the wise: tere are a lot of reports of the 30 amp fuse that comes with the Flexalite controller kit blowing. Mine did lastnight, so I will be purchasing a 40amp today. There's a thread somewhere that is more informative

Hmmm .. before doing that, why don't you consult with FAL to confirm the rest of their system can safely tolerate the extra potential draw the 40A would allow?

Best-case - a component failure. Worst-case - a fire.

the Mark 8 fan draws alot of amps on start up i blew a few 15 amps i belive i have a 30 or 40 amp in there now.

saw lots of power gains and 1-2MPG

You sure? A True Mark VIII on the high-speed winding, has an inrush north of 80 amps ... one of the main reasons a soft-start controller is beneficial ...

i have mine just hooked up for high and i have a 40 amp inline fuse about 6" from the batt. its been on there for years and hasnt blown since i first blew the 30amp.
