Well, she better get to work making toys for Santa Claus...

She's 17, huh!!

Tell her - Don't worry... there is this kid on the forum that at the age of 17 offroaded his parents minivan through a swamp. He said, at least you were using the right tool.

fefe's?! hahhahaa - I hate the way they dress around here... it is gross.

Thanks Torkum and Your right on the other parts !!! lol - Man what a PITA . With the V6 , I thought I would have more room in front of motor than the 5.4L . Well, I blew out and cleaned the tensioner for about an hour . It stilll was binding - I could here little pebbles crunching moving it around and I couldn't get those damn things out of their..

I didn't like how the idler felt and I could see a hole bunch of stones trapped in between the Crank pulley and the motor

I pulled the shroud (barley got the thing out with the fan broke loose and slid back - I think my 5.4 is easier lol - I pulled a section off the front of the motor , the tensioner ,idler and one grooved pulley came off in one big chunk ,. I liked that..lol .. Almost ready to put the motor back together.

Water in the rear end - so that's next..

Crap ! I didn't pull the starter wires !! YET ! It starts with a good battery , so maybe I'll leave them be. I hope that alternator charges again after this , that would make my day.. Guess I'll find out ..

BTW - Can anyone tell me what those two engine block fuses do ? Their in a little box by the firewall under the hood. There's a 5 amp and a 20 amp fuse . The 20 amp was blown.

There Cigarette lighter fuse (25amp) was blown as well - but that one was in fuse block inside the cab.

That's all that blew as far as fuses..

Yah, but your a bad influence - You think you have a 4WD too!!

Water can come in thru breather on older trucks - I didn't think it would on these because the breathers pretty high and I thought they had some sort of check valves - Buddy told me to check - I told him he was high , theres no water in their , I'll be damned

Nope , No miss - No engine light ..

Hey shifty!! Did your washer fluid box have mud /dirty water in it after you mudded yours up? This one did lol - I just added that to the pile of sh^t she has to clean ..

Jbrew,

I feel your pain. My son is into Hondas. His little beast runs mid 12s. No mud but there is something about 18 year old Honda grease that gets in all the wrinkles of your hands and will not wash out. I prefer mud, it washes off. ,)

As for the alternator I suspect that all the crap that coated the engine made the alternator get hot and finished off any cracks that were just under the surface. I always carry a bottle of water to wash off the alternator when I mud. The rear diff sucking in water could be from someone spinning the wheels and heating the diff up then sitting in water/mud. The water will suck up past the seals when the hot diff cools off and creates a vacuum. Make sure the breather is not clogged.

JMC

as long as "spins fine" means it isnt bent funny so the center line wont match up with the other pullies. You dont want to replace a belt every 500 miles b.c it rubs it bad b.c the pully isnt on it straight.

Up date ! I gave an her an ultimatum. Fess up and tell me what really happen - or I'll post that pic of you picking your nose..

Well - She did get stuck - she said the truck made it about 10 ft once she left the road. Then added , there wasn't a drop of mud on it at that point.

Everyone was already playing out the field. Then a PAST friend drove by - I guess they don't like each other any more Anyway I guess the ex friend laughed as they passed..

She says , she didn't want to be stuck anymore - the truck wouldn't budge - So she called Randal who was on his way their anyway . She told this Randal to swing around front .. YEAAAAA.. Randal has a F250 diesel 4X4- Shifty heard of him before I think..

She told Randal to get flying the whip her and the truck toward her EX friend - She added , it's just like skiing behind a boat except I can't let go - that's what made it so fun.....

I said is that right - so you I take it you rooster tailed that ex-friend of yours ..- She replies , Not exactly a "rooster tail" But they got a healthy soil sample - 3 times over..

I had to chuckle a little at that one , but just a little. I told her I know how they must have felt - She replies , What do mean dad ?- I told her to go change her fuel filter

I gonna through a brick in the bed while she's under their.

She gonna chit!! And get a big taste of what I'm complaining about - Right quick !!..
