Spare Tire Brand on Factory Equipped New F-150

Good morning. A local Ford dealer sales rep told me that the spare tire on a factory equipped 2020 F-150 is always a Goodyear, regardless of what tires are mounted on the truck. IE, a new 2020 F-150 may have Michelin tires mounted, but the spare will be a Goodyear. True or false?

Never heard that before but it would be easy to "look" at the new trucks at a dealership though. Maybe he just meant that "it was made in a good year"?

Not much matter, my '07 truck has 275/55R20 Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires but a straight tread Pirelli Scorpion STR 255/70R18 spare that is also the same OD , only it's on a black 18x8 steel wheel, but it holds air. It's never been run yet but I was just checking the air on Friday.

I don't know about the new trucks but my 2000 F150 came with Goodyear Wranglers and the spare was a Goodyear wrangler on a steel rim. My 2005 came with Michelins and the spare was a Michelin bot trucks were bought new and were XLT trim level.

My 2020 Roush has bigger tires from Roush which are not stock. Regardless of that my spare is the stock one which is a Michelin.

My 2014 truck has 275/55R20s mounted on the axles, which is the OEM size, but the spare is on a smaller steel wheel and it has a narrower aspect ratio. As I recall, it's a Goodyear brand, but I've never mounted it and don't recall much else. Effectively, it's a "compact spare". *grin*.

2020, XL, 4x4. 4 Goodyear HTs and a Crosswind AT for a spare. I just put it in the bed yesterday because I'll be damned if I need it in a snowstorm and the stupid crank thing breaks.
