Shocks. Which ones?
Shocks. Which ones?
Got 31k on the 2015. Think I blew the back shocks, dealer won’t replace them.
Pretty much can’t tow, way too bouncy.
I think I’ve had good luck with the yellow/blue bilsteins in the past. Is that a particular model or is there an HD model?
Don’t need a lift but what about bilstein 5100s on the stock setting?
Better yet are there any black ones out there that are ‘HD’? That way I can match and keep the front stockers?

Excellent idea, thanks.
Yup, no problem.
They are only about a buck more than the base payload package ones.
The main difference is they contain more fluid than the base payload. Giving it a more rigid ride, hence why they may last a little longer under harsher conditions.
Shocks and struts need to replaced every 50k to 60k miles...

Is that the particular part number for my 4x4 crewcab, 5.5 ft bed?
It is the right number, that is for every wheelbase 4x4. Ordered them from Tasca, like $96 with shipping.
Also ordered a Hellwig sway bar, should be here in a couple weeks.
Will report back.
Now if I can fix the crappy turning radius, lol.

I lowered my 17 and installed the zinc bodied shocks from Bilstein, I don’t have numbers handy and am very happy. I am running a front shock off of a Toyota/Bronco/Nissan in the rear which is shorter and softer because of the lowering and love the ride.
