Yup, it's possible according to this post on the HP, it's possible! Personally, I think it's awesome you can find stripped-down, bare-bones versions like this for sale. The relative simplicity means it'll likely last forever!

Hard to believe that a $28k truck would be discounted $10k!

Incentives and rebates, time to clear them out for the 2018's.

Yeah, they must be really trying to get this off the lot or something. That's a huge percentage.

Heck I don't even need it but something like that is tempting.

I came close to this

I just purchased a similar truck here in Houston, TX.

2017 F150, regular cab, XL, 2wd.

Mine did have the 2.7L ecoboost engine (a VERY nice upgrade), $995.

Equipment group 101A for $2,055. That gives you the PW, PDL, cruise, and the basic SYNC system (bluetooth and a USB port).

Trailer hitch, $95 (doubt you can find that cheaper anywhere else)

XL Chrome Appearance Package, $775. chrome front/rear bumpers, fog lamps, 17" silver painted aluminum wheels.

I could care less about the chrome bumpers, but the wheels are quite a bit nicer than the work truck steel wheels, and there is a $500 discount (on the window sticker) from the chrome package. That means a nice wheel upgrade for $275, a relative bargain.

My truck was $31,075 on the Window Sticker, and I bought for $21,461. A discount of $9,614, or 31% off the MSRP.

I could not find a Chevrolet for under $23k, and that was with no options.

That sounds like a nice truck value. I want to find another f250 next year with similar options and that kinda discount.

I picked up a tuxedo black f250 XL regular cab a few years ago, no options but chrome bumpers and cruise control. Threw a set of 18 inch xlt wheels on it... absolutely love driving it but getting a little worn. Such a cheap capable truck.
