The OPs truck is a 2015 5.0 and it has the auto shut down. The 2.7 is not the only engine to have it. All F150's are supposed to have it next year. This is not the same as the start stop feature. This feature is supposed to eliminate excessive idling and wasting fuel along with making more unwanted carbon footprint. You can thank the dimwits in DC for this. If you think this is nutz, just wait for the 2020 vehicles, it's a wreck.

I see that trailer light hitch cover. I will remember that if I buy a 2017.

He is talking about the automatic idle shut off. You can turn it off in the screen in the gauge cluster.

Page 169 in the owners manual. It tells about the auto shutdown and how to temporarily turn it off. This applies to the keyless starts.
