I noticed recently the 16 (and maybe 15) XLT's come with a flip key. If you get the 302A package you also get remote start standard. So basically the key from a 16 XLT w/302A could possibly work on my 13. I haven't jumped on the bandwagon and upgraded to a fusion flip key because my factory key has the remote start and keyless entry built into it and there was no compatible factory flip key that would work on my truck and not lose any of the functions. Well now it appears the 16 xlt 302a key will work because it is basically my key with the flip feature added in. My question, does anyone know if the electronics inside the key are compatible from the 16's and the 09-14's? I would like to be sure before I drop 75-100 bucks at the stealer for a new key, just to find out it won't work.

No, just four buttons. Lock, unlock, panic, remote start.
