-You can't play a DVD at all? What am I supposed to do now while the wife shops?

There are more little things I wish I would have caught before I signed, some of these had I known, I likely would not have bought.

 

My 15 has an outlet in the cubby under the hvac controls as well as 2 usb and one in the center console - plenty of charging options.
Hmm, seems I read you can change the background on the '15. Guess they screwed that up.

Kills me the things people say they don't have in their vehicles but don't use half of the other things that are there, like a blinker.

 

I have the same outlet, but in every other F I own, there is a 12v on the driver side, bottom of the dash plain view and easy to get to.

I agree about the blinker. And common sense. And responsible driving.

 

You can change the background on the 15. On the center dash scroll over and set your favorites like mpg.

I know NOW. Didn't know prior to today.

And 16 is 0% financing.

And a year newer.

And more rebates.

 

I take it you have the sync 3 system, the 15's had the old My Ford Touch system. My wifes 16 edge has sync 3 also and she had the MFT before this one. In the 2 months she has had it we've noticed a few changes that I don't like.

1- you can't change the background like the older system
2- there is no delete button for the call logs
3- no delete for messages either
4 on the nav screen, the cursor or arrow that shows vehicle position rotates and the map overlay always stays with north pointing up, where as the old MFT it was the opposite. To me it seems more intuitive for the cursor to be stationary and the map to rotate. We have almost made a wrong turn on a few occasions because of it.

 

That is strange because I took a '16 XLT with Nav out for a test drive and the map was rotating around a fixed arrow. As I turned on different streets, the map rotated around and the view was at a slight angle to show forward perspective.

Edit: It looks like you can change the setting and select the Heading Up or 3D map mode. It sounds like you are in the North Up mode hence the stationary map. This is from the Sync 3 manual...

 

We're guys, we don't read no stinkin' manuals. Seriously, I did not know that. I'll have to check this out. Thanx for the tip.

I kinda agree on the 16. If I could go back I would have ordered a 16 Limited 2wd. Havent put this one in 4x4 yet and it was $61,500 but I got almost $11,000 off so cant complain too much.

I also havent changed the background screen yet and used the nav only a few times.

 

Even the window sticker of my 2015 Lariat was not $61,000. Even with $11,000 off, you got hosed.

We just lost all the snow, and I am not too inclined to take this truck mud bogging, so my 4x4 should be in prime shape for fall!

It just seems stupid to me that Ford in their infinite wisdom got rid of a bunch of stuff it seems 'most' of us liked. Another brilliant move is deleting the 'Litres used' section and added another DTE. Seriously???
