Wink If I were able to Buy a New F150?

If I had the money, i.e. LOTTERY!, what would it be? I love my '11 Lariat. I special ordered her in Oct. of 2010. I'd keep her because she was my dream truck. So, what would I buy?
My choice would be - a 2016 F150 Lariat Supercrew, 4x4, 5.5 bed, 5.0, 3.73EL rear. Oxford white/Medium Earth Gray interior. Current price in that configuration is $48,295.00 NET.
OPTIONS:
502A Equipment Group (which includes the Chrome package).
FX4 Off road package.
Trailer Tow package.
Technology Group (360 camera w/split view display, Dynamic Hitch control, Rearview camera function).
Bed divider.
Box side steps.
Extended range fuel tank.
Tailgate step.
Twin panel moonroof.
Wheel well liners.
Power Trailer Tow mirrors.
Power deployable running boards.
20" Chrome wheels.
All Weather rubber floor mats.
Inflatable rear safety belts.
Integrated trailer brake controller.
I think that's it?
Asking price - $61,530.00 Smackeroos (as of 02/21/16)

Yeah my truck is fairly similar but white platinum and ecoboost.

Finding the auto side steps on anything but a platinum or king ranch is kinda difficult.

You could buy a decent small house around here for that kind of money.
The prices for new optioned out pickups have middle class buyers buying only WELL used.

It's really ridiculous what they are charging. My truck is a 300A and it's 40 grand sticker price... ****ing really?

They are in places no one wants to live, with little in the way of jobs, but they do exist. And homes, usually appreciate and hold value. My 2005 F150 I sold after I got my 2015, I got $4,000 for. That's about 1/6 of the purchase price after 10 years.

The house I bought in 2007 is worth about $80,000 MORE than when I bought it.

Even during the worst part of the recession, it didn't lose more than 20% of purchase price

So these $60,000 homes do exist, and will never be worth nothing

WRONG!!!!! I just live out in the country. My sister paid $120,000 for her house and she is hating it because the ghetto dwellers from NYC are all moving there and living 12 in a house.
Deals are still out there but investors and foreign buyers are artificially inflating the prices....again.

You are kidding yourself if you dont think there are 60,000 houses out there. I don't care where your sister lives. If you can't find a house for under 60 grand, you arent trying

Here's a town I consider "down" and not a great place to live, but near some beautiful landscapes

Wrong on your insult that $60,000 houses will never be worth anything.
If you bought a house during the worst part of the over pricing boom and now claim it is worth $80,000 more than what you paid for it.......sorry I don't believe that.

If I had "Lotto" kind of money, I'd be buying over priced old school stuff from the days of my youth.. (ie, carbs and no emission crap, roll up windows, no A/C, etc...)

Sure, I've got a '13 F150, but it's "only" an XLT and it's more than enough stuff to keep me spoiled with...

Those $60k trucks just don't interest me... First, they can't haul anything... (no payload) and just too much "fluff"... I'm so distracted with just my XLT stuff, I can't imagine all the other electronic stuff that I don't have... I've got more gizmos than I've ever had before and it only stickered for $43k and I got it for $33k with 56 miles on it...

Anyway, to each their own and those $60k rigs are selling, so there you go!

Mitch

Sounds perfect - I'll take one while you are at it!

I don't think that is accurate, Mitch. My $61,500 truck is rated for 1,680 lbs payload and something like 11,000 towing I think.

Yeah - and if you try to tow 11k with it, by the time you fill your gas tank and plop your *** into the driver's seat you will probably be over that payload rating.
