I work at a Ford dealer. I bought a brand new f-150 supercrew with a panoramic glass roof. It rattles on any little bump. So annoying. Especially on a $50k truck. I've taken it to my own service department and they said it's a characteristic trait.....I don't agree. It's almost like the glass isint tight or does not fit. I want this fixed like yesterday. If anyone else has this problem or has a solution please let me know.

 

Your own service department won't fix it? Call regional service. It is NOT normal, your service department is lazy or a bunch of morons.

 

Very commen problem. For your own dealership to say that though is CRAZY. Mine is doing the same thing, to my knowledge there is no current fix so I'm waiting to see what happens.

 

My 2015 XLT was doing same thing and they verified it at my Ford dealer. After bodyshop removed headliner they found the sunroof frame was the problem. The frames are on back order about 3 weeks which leads me to believe there is a design problem with frame or sunroof. It's in the shop currently being fixed with replacement frame. Hope this helps

 

did it work ? replacing the frame. i have the same issue took it in they did a TSP, basically just greased it, it lasted a few months, now back to the same . any help appreciated.

 

i have my 2015 f150 pano sunroof at the dealership ready today from the sunroof rattle said the cleaned lubed and oil problem fixed. im going to pick it up but i doubt that fixes it.

 

they called from the dealer to tell me mine was ready 2015 pano sunroof rattle all they did was lube clean and oil. doubt that fixed it but will see

The OP has troll written all over them. Working at a car dealership which "allegedly" pays the OP enough to buy a $50,000 truck is hard to believe. Even more insane is that the OP is bashing this dealership which "allegedly" pays him/her big money.

I personally would never own any car or truck with a sun roof because eventually they will all leak.
