I've always thought the regular cab / short box 4x4 was the absolute best looking configuration out there. Then again, I owned 8 of them in a row. Nice truck!

Very nice. I got the same color. Crew cab this time around though, expecting some grandkids soon! Might need the back seats. Congrats on the new truck.

It's crazy they dont make very many standard cab trucks anymore in non-work truck configs

You NEVER see them on lots

Yes 2.7 motor with 3.73 gears. First tank 20 miles to the gallon with about 20 miles in 4 wheel drive both low and high range. Very happy with engine.

I've been getting a steady 21.3-21.5 mpg. I've got a 5.0 with 3.31 gears. Crew cab. I checked one partial fill up with a calculator too. I got in the same range. This is with about 1400 miles on and mixed driving, in town and higher speed roads. Seems like it should be a bit less. I was expecting something just under 20.

Very nice truck well worth the wait. Reg cab trucks are very hard to come by these days. Most of the trucks on the lots around here are the crew cabs with a few extended cabs. I don't think I seen a 2015 reg cab on any of the local dealers lots around here a couple of them do have a couple 4x2 2016 xl long beds. Everything else is mostly the crew cab or extended cab version. I prefer the reg cab set up as it is the traditional pickup setup.

My 95, 97, 99, 02, 05 & 10 F-150's were all regular cab / short box 4x4's. I had to special order every single one of them. I never waited more than 6 weeks though.

BTW: My theory with new vehicles is that I'll go to Build & Price on the manufacturer's web site, spec out exactly what I want, then order it. (No use in searching because nobody will have it.) I have no interest in "settling for something close" when I'm spending over $35,000 on something I almost live in.
