Loud noise and vibration when steering wheel is extending and retracting

Curious if anyone has had this issue and had it resolved. Taking my truck in on 11/24 for this and TSB 15-0142 Harsh or Firm 5-4 Downshift.

Getting these issues into the hands of your dealer is a great next step, huyscm. What's the truck's current mileage? I'll be happy to do what I can to assist.

Sure thing, huyscm! PM me your details, including your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll escalate you to the customer service manager (CSM) for your region. They'll work with your dealer to make sure things go smoothly.

I got my truck back late yesterday afternoon. I have tested out the Sport Mode twice now and the TSB appears to have corrected the hard shift issue. The steering wheel extend/retract vibration was felt by the tech and they have determined I need a new steering column. This is back ordered until around 12/15 so they will call me once it is in. I will update once the repair is complete.

Well after steering column repair my steering wheel was off to the right. Took it back in and after 2 attempts they shifted it off to the left the same amount. Service manager road with me and said it was within tolerance (10 degrees either way) but he would see what they could do. After the 3rd attempt the steering wheel appears to be straight.

Vibration / Popping in steering column when turning

Hello all, new to the forum just curious if anyone has had any luck in finding the source of the popping / vibration feel in the steering column when turning... i have the same exact issue on 2016 F150 with 15,000 miles... Dealer tells me they can't find the cause and that they would do more damage trying to find and fix the problem than it is worth... Do i have a case to file a lemon lawsuit?

It depends on the rules in your state. If they cannot or will not fix it under warranty, you should have a case.
