Yea, I also don't like the interior, to me it looks like somethings missing, but I like the interior on the 04-08, im still a little iffy on the 09-13 interior, to much square

I think they put to much into the Atlas like aerodynamic wheels and such, putting a spoiler where the step assist is suppose to be (cause I mean look its not like the indy 500's where are cars (trucks) are gonna fly off the track)

Yea fortunately my '01 was lifted. I do think the '04-'08 look best for NBS style trucks. Don't look better than a nice '79 though.

The current GT500 has a 5.8L SC'd engine

Yup, and the 5.8 got resurrected from WAY back in the day. The boat we just sold had a carb'd 5.8 in it. Granted it's changed completely now, but the 5.8 has to have its roots in the 351

Nope, the new 5.8 is a modular based on the 4.6/5.4.

Yup, pretty interesting motor design too, I read an article on it awhile back before it came out.

Is it a 5.4 bored out to 5.8? Essentially I mean. But I say the 5.8 has "roots" in the 351 the same way that the coyote 5.0 has "roots" in the old 5.0. Basically no actual connection, but still a lil sum sum

The only thing even remotely having "roots" on either engine is the displacement.

that truck looks horrible. and a smaller v8 turbo'ed or supercharged would be nice. but remember that truck has to have a limit because people will kill themselves out in the desert if they don't.
