Does Ford think truck owners think push button start is a cool thing?

According to the specs, it only has a 6 speed. What the hec is Ford thinking putting a 6 speed in? This is 2015 not 2009. What is going on with the new tranny?

I would love to have a push button start who the heck wants to take their keys off and put it in the ignition?

That truck has everything that I would want in a truck I can't think of anything else other than being 6" up haha

We have the push button start in our MKX and must say, I don't care for it at all. If anything, I'd prefer a ignition switch on the dash where the push button start is located, instead of on the steering column.

I wouldn't care for push button start.

The better half's new CUV has the push button start with the proximity feature. I have adjusted to stepping on the brake and pressing the start button.

For me, its a nice feature. The key fob stays in my pocket and the magic happens.

I dont like how all these new cars and trucks need back up assist, park assist, 360 degree views, blind spot lights and all that other BS. I mean, are we really that incapable of safely maneuvering a vehicle these days? I dont know about you but I know the angles on my truck very well and if a parallel spot is open and big enough to fit, Ill park it. If I need to back up I can get within a foot away from whatever Im backing up to and I even have a shell taking away all/most of my visibility!

But, even after that rant, I still like the truck!!

x2 These "assist" features just create more bad drivers on the road.

I love the look of the truck but is it a truck or a luxury car? Too many electronic things to break down the road. I would like it better if they just focused on fuel economy durability and just a few creature comforts.

Ford is for sure targeting the recreational truck drivers. The guys who never take their trucks off road let alone on a dirt road. There are a bunch of wussy features! If you can't properly back up a trailer then you shouldn't be towing!

If I wanted luxury then I would buy a Lexus.

Doubtful. The 6.2L will most likely go away in the F150. You know, CAFE, plus, with the tweaked EB 3.5L, there will be no need.
