Do our trucks still take Xerex G-05 antifreeze?

And for the record, owners manuals never give any guidance on aftermarket parts. It doesn't do me any good to tell me to go buy ford branded coolant for $25 per gallon, especially when the dealer is closed and it doesn't matter anyway
my my last truck said to use ford coolant but found out here to use zerex g05 for 1/3 the cost
i found conflicting information about the newer trucks

Again, not helpful... I do not want to buy the ****ing $25.00 per gallon motorcraft coolant which is what is listed in the manual

I did your homework for you. G-05 is NOT compatible.
You need Ford spec WSS-M97B44-D or -D2. This crosses to Dex-Cool. However, I'm finding that you should NOT mix with Dex-Cool, you need Motorcraft Specialty Orange.

I found conflicting things about dexcool being compatible, or not, with the "motorcraft orange", also some people saying G-05 was ok.
This is still in my opinion a questiion. As it was, I just added distilled water and am rolling like that.

Asking the question here got a series of smartass remarks, and unhelpful replies.
I just ended up adding about a quart of distilled water to get it to the "high" fill line and called it a day... I don't live somewhere that it freezes (Florida), so this is a non-issue.
